Maria has lived in Alameda for more than 20 years and purchased her home here in 2006. She loves the shoreline, the fog rolling over San Francisco, the local restaurants, and the small-town connections that make this island special.
She is the granddaughter of Mexican and Italian immigrants whose lives taught her the value of hard work, education, opportunity, and public service.
